Catching the train from Tasch to Zermatt two days before starting the Haute Route Tour. (Neville Mallett- right) Rain down low translate into about 10cm of new snow up in the alpine. The Swiss Rail system is just superb, running on-time at regular intervals to just about anywhere you'd like to go. It is very easy to get from the Geneva Airport terminal to Zermatt with just one change at Visp.
