Aiguille du Midi - after a day's delay with rain in Chamonix, the morning sky looked mostly clear and we rode the tram up to ski the Vallee Blanche from the French side. Care must be taking descending on foot from the tram docking level to where the ski begins. A tumble down the north face (left in the image) would be terminal and only moderately better to the right. The view was spectacular with pockets of clouds filling some of the lower areas.
